A lot of people feel trapped.
In our jobs, our financial situations, our speed of advancement, their lives.
We often feel that their struggle is the world’s fault. That’s rarely true.
The most common truth is that we are trapped in cages of their own design.
“Oh but I couldn’t do that”.
“That’s too uncomfortable”.
“I can’t try that”.
We see outside the cage and the wonderful things that are there. But we’re terrified of them too, like a child who meets a dog for the first time. We want to reach out, but we shrink back at the same time.
The cage is feels safe. We know the cage and its boundaries. It’s familiar and comfortable.
That’s why when it seems like the cage door might be cracking open, we panic and slam it shut again.
Outside the cage is fear, risk and opportunity.
Outside the cage is freedom.
